From the Dolls Perspective- Lydia (3)

HEY HEY HEY! It is I, Lydia! The last week has been the best ever! We've been stuck inside and my sisters played with me all day. Then, the ice melted, and we could play outside to! I practiced Ballet, and my acting with Carmen. Carmen may not like ballet, but she does love music. But not Sierra's kind of music. When ever Sierra starts practicing Classical Music on her flute, Carmen wrinkles her nose all ugly like and puts her earbuds in.

As for ViVi (My nickname for Violet that she hates), well, I don't even know. Violet is quiet enough, but Carmen doesn't help. They get into giant arguments and sometimes even THROW stuff at each other! Most of the time I just gp play with my dolls like Mr. Teddy Roosebear and Mr. Cuddles. One time, I feel bad for tattling, but Carmen said a nasty word! Mom got really red in the face and took away all of Carmen's electronics. But Somehow, I got in trouble too!

You know how sometimes, when your mom or dad is ticked off, that you just HAVE to laugh? Well Carmen had just been sent to her room an I was getting red in the face from holding my breath so long, and then WAM. I just was rolling on the floor laughing! Then I saw the look on moms face and I stopped immediately. I pulled out some of my best acting skills and put on a n innocent face, But despite my tries, I was net to bed without dessert. O well! At least I had tons of fun with my sisters!

From the Dolls Perspective- Sierra (2)

Umm... Hey guys? I don't really know how to start this... At least this is better then the school recital. Last week, before the freeze, I had been practicing my solo for weeks, and I totally blew it. I stood up and came up to the stage, took a deep breath, and brought the embouchure to my lips. Then I squeaked. My worst stage fright fears had come true! I blew it! I dubbed up and got simple measures all wrong. I think Im going to die.

On the happier note, I got a new follower on my youtube channel! Lately I've been working extra hard to produce quality videos! AKA I've been doing giveaways. I have had extra time stuck with my sisters to make origami videos. I hope I will someday be super famous! (Even If I don't like being in the limelight)

Kiara's Story

Hello everyone! I'm Kiara Coleman, the youngest member of the Coleman family. Yes, my name IS spelled Kiara, not Kiera. It is pronounced Kee-ar-uh. I love My Little Pony, reading (especially American Girl books!), and spending time with my family. One small detail that many tend to obsess over is the fact that I'm adopted. You see, one day this summer, Vera was at the local Goodwill. She took her usual look at the toy shelf, and was about to leave, when she spotted my mangled mane of hair.

Yup, this is me, pre-Vera spa day! My first owner didn't take very good care of me, but I'd rather not dwell on the past. Today, this is what I look like:

MUCH better! Anyway, Vera took me in, and adopted me into the Coleman family. Not only did I gain two sisters, but also an awesome cousin! No offense to any of my family if you're reading, but Elizabeth is my favorite! She's just so nice and sweet. Mia could argue against that, but I'd rather her not. So, that's my story! I hope you all enjoyed it, and I'll be back for more later!

My Thoughts on GOTY 2015 Grace Thomas

Dear Readers,

As you all probably know, the new girl of the year is a young girl named Grace Thomas. She is an aspiring baker that loves French culture. She has dark brown hair, light skin, freckles, and blue eyes.

I am going to be frank; I do not like the new girl of the year. It is just about the doll, it is also is because American Girl has yet to produce an ethnically diverse or disabled doll. This makes Grace a disappointment in my eyes. 

As well as that, Grace has the same face mold as McKenna and the same freckles and eyes as Saige. I also believe she has a bland story that is not as exciting as other dolls like Lanie or, heck, even SAIGE had a better story than her! And thats saying a lot.

Although, I do love some of the Paris couture that Grace has brought to the table.

Her city outfit goes well with her dark hair, and I love the white collar with the sweater. But, her shoes are similar to that of which American Girl has already created.

Grace's baking outfit is also cute. The blue cupcake shirt is a nice touch of color with the black apron and pink leggings. Again though, her shoes are very similar to flats that AG has already created.

This promo picture shows Grace's pajamas. The colors are cute and her hair looks super cute, but the pj's themselves are simple and boring. Also, SHE HAS THE SAME DANG RIBBONS ON HER SHOES!

Ok, confession time... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS OUFIT! I think it looks really cute! Even at an outrageous $28 retail price, I would seriously consider buying this or sewing one myself!

All in all I don't think I will be purchasing a Grace Thomas doll this year. Her story is stupid, and I am outraged at the AG company for ignoring buyers pleas for an ethnically diverse or disabled GOTY. I may buy some of her accessories or outfits, but that is for future Valerie to decide!

From the Dolls Perspective- Violet (1)

Hey everyone, Violet here. I am so tired of all this ice! where we live the ice has been piling up outside, and now it's next to impossible to go outside. So, now I'm stuck inside with my sisters. Don't get me wrong, I love my sisters, but something about being stuck together all week makes it unbearable.

Sierra keeps practicing her flute, playing the highest notes on the A flat scale over, and over, and over! Lydia just wants to run around and shove her toys at anyone who will listen, and Carmen, well, Carmen is Carmen.

Carmen and I have always had a rivalry. We are the closest in age and she always wants to one up me. Not to mention our personalities are the exact opposite of each other! I love school and drawing and I always meme honor roll, while she deals with the frivolous stuff. She loves fashion and makeup and sports. I am so uncoordinated, that any soccer ball she kicks at me always ends up connecting with my skull.

So, for now I'm downright miserable. My cousin Amber is at her house, so I can't see her. The phone lines are down so I can't call my friends, and I already did my homework! I have nothing to do except watch ice melt. Wish me luck!

Recreating Grace's Collection

Hey guys! As all of you know, this year's Girl of the Year is Saige reborn with a Josefina mold and a bland baking story. While I may not like the doll or the character, I quite like a lot of her clothes. Today I decided to use what clothing items I had on hand to recreate some of Grace's outfits. 

First, I constructed her meet outfit! I used a Queen's Treasures shirt, a skirt I made, and booties from American Girl.

Next, I made Grace's City Outfit using an American Girl sweater, fingerless gloves I made, leggings from Dollie and Me (rolled to be shorts), shoes from Springfield, and purse from My Life As...

Finally, I put together Grace's Baking Outfit using shirt, leggings, and shoes from American Girl and an apron from My Life As...
